Autoinformator module Autoinformator module is designed to store, record and transmit voice messages to subscribers' appliances. There is one concurrent recording chain and three playback chains. In the systemconsisting of up to four DCN16U base units only one autoinformator module can be used. Digitized voice messages and acoustic signals are stored as wave files on removable mediumfor which purpose memory sticks MMC/SD with the memory space of 16 to 512 MB are used. Voice messages file format: PCM16,000 kHz; 8 bit, mono, A-Law coding. Digital subscriber appliances ARMTEL or PC with the recording/reading of MMC/SD sticks device can be used for messages recording. Specific character of the memory stick operation require completion of recording prior to memory stick removal for which purpose reading/recording indicator and special switch key for recording interlock are envisaged. Appearance (front panel of the DCN switchboard), elements of indication and autoinformator module control. - - Jack for connection of the module to the selected TDM switchboard stream
- - Reset button designed for module hardware reset (installed as "hidden")
- - Slot for MMC/SD sticks used to install sticks with memory space of 16 - 512 MB
- - Mode indicator (bi-color LED) showing memory stick operation mode at this very time
- - Two position DIP switch key designed to preset memory stick operation mode
The first switch key (on the left) memory stick parking/recording exemption. When parking memory stick DCN switchboard is informed of the necessity to complete ongoing operations with the stick, and after that save memory stick removal is permitted. Audio module configuration data Autoinformator module programming starts with the preparation of the required audio files and their copying on the memory stick. Then using the "Configurator" software fragments are formed out of files and their indexation is performed. Each fragment can consist of one or several files, fragment index is used to refer to it during buttons' functions programming. It is possible to show the quantity of iterations during playback (0 to 255) for each fragment. Audio fragments control functions Special functions which can be programmed for the subscriber appliance buttons are used for working with the autoinformator module. Fragment selection - a function of fragment selection for recording or playback operations. Fragment index is preset in the button parameters during programming according to the list of fragments in the autoinformator module configuration data. Fragment can be transmitted to subscriber/group of subscribers. To transmit a fragment to subscriber/group of subscribers it is necessary to press the fragment button and then press subscriber/group of subscribers direct call button. Transmittance to the selected subscriber or group will start, and the selected fragment button will start blinking. By pressing the fragment button during its transmittance it is possible to stop the transmittance ahead of time. During transmittance all the other communication functions of the subscriber's appliance remain available. Fragment transmittance - transmittance of a specified fragment to the pre-determined group of subscribers. Fragment index and required group of subscribers are defined in the button options during programming. Playback starts immediately after pressing the button on which blinking indication is on. During message transmittance subscriber who enabled the message is available for incoming and outgoing calls. Termination of a fragment transmittance occurs upon the second fragment transmittance button pressing or after completion of a fragment playback (even if transmittance button remains in a pushed position). Recording - fragment recording from the subscriber appliance. To record a fragment it is necessary to press fragment selection button and then press recording button which turns on a mode of recording from the given control console into the selected fragment. Recording is over after the recording button is released. Concurrent fragments recording and playback is not possible. Control - listening of the fragment at the specified subscriber's appliance. To control a fragment it is necessary to press a fragment selection button and then press "control". After that the selected file will be played back on a specified appliance. Termination of a control playback is made by the second pressing of the fragment selection button as well as after the fragment playback is completed.
