Digital Intercom System (with ISDN telephony, PA system support)

DCN Subscribers

DCN Communication System purpose:

Switchboard DCN v1.1 is a universal distributed system of dispatch loud-speaking communication and announcement for industry. It is designed taking into consideration high requirements for reliability and safety of equipment utilized at hazardous industry.

Switchboard DCN v1.1 is used:

  • for arrangement of operative-dispatch communication;
  • for arrangement of loud-speaking communication and announcement;
  • for operative communication with workshops with dangerously explosive and/or chemically aggressive manufacturing environment;
  • for operative communication with cranes and stackers;
  • for communication with radio subscribers;
Switchboard DCN v1.1 also provides:
  • arrangement of simplex loud-speaking communication between subscribers' units;
  • possibility of individual call of any subscriber or subscriber group (for devices with a dialer);
  • individual announcement of subscriber via loud-speaking communication;
  • zone (group) announcement of subscriber via loud-speaking communication;
  • free subscriber numbering;
  • priority subscriber call order;
  • possibility of arbitrary priority assignment;
  • recording of speech communication into autoinformator and its control playback;
  • manual or automatic broadcasting of alarm signals, messages recorded into autoinformator;
  • system local monitoring, diagnostics and configuration from administrator workstation;

Each DCN switching point is a compact digital switch with 16 ISDN customer sets with U-interface and 4 E1 ports for networking. Up to 4 of such base switchboards can be interconnected forming a uniform system with capacity of 60 subscribers with non-blocking switching field. At that the territorial location of base switchboards is not important, any types of cables and standard networking equipment can be used for interconnection.

Simplex intercommunication devices in desktop protected case can be connected directly to DCN subscriber sets at the distance up to 6 km. Built-in phantom feeding scheme enables connection of a pair of subscribers at the distance up to 3 km. To improve the communication quality the extended bandwidth 6.8 kHz, as compared with telephone exchange subscribers, is applied in switchboard DCN v1.1. Special analogue subsystem module allows to connect different analogue devices to digital subscriber interface, such as: amplifiers, including ones with load switching relay, lines of radio translation and Civil defense Emergency Control Ministry, fire and burglar alarm systems, analogue intercommunication devices, radio terminals, outdated loud-speaking communication systems and others.

Appearance and overall dimensions of DCN16U base unit

DCN16U switchboard base unit is a standard unit with the height of 1 HU for mounting in 19' telecommunication cabinet.

Following devices are located on the casing:
